The demands made on public institutions, authorities and administrative bodies have increased considerably. They are exposed to more pressure to keep costs low while the expectations regarding performance of their services remains at the same high level. Consequently, and to an increasing extent, the Federal and State authorities, cities and municipalities are outsourcing sovereign duties or municipal responsibilities to legally independent organisational units or associated companies. We are familiar with the specific problems resulting from this situation due to our large number of public audit and consulting engagements.

Furthermore, we carry out audits concerning the application for public funding, in particular in the field research and development as well as non-governmental humanitarian organisations.
