The global energy demand is increasing. After an intermediate decline in energy consumption, electricity and gas sales also re-increased in Germany in 2010, which is not only due to the long winter but also to increasing industrial consumption. Therefore, in addition to the absolute energy price also the energy and electricity tax attract the attention of companies and consumers, and consequently not only the competitiveness of the companies depends on energy and electricity tax – it is rather in general interest that energy is affordable.
