Last year, the event organised by the hotel real estate platform of ZIA (German Property Federation) ‘Financing hotels - time for a paradigm shift’ was a great success. Also this year, ZIA invites representatives of banks, valuation and appraisal experts and other interested persons to a two days special event.

In our change of perspective we see how new horizons are opened up which call for a challenging approach to structural changes to which we would like to contribute. TRINAVIS therefore opened an office in Essen – which in a sense is also a change of perspective – although our audit and tax advisory firm has been based in Berlin for more than 40 years now. (Ger­man Pro­perty Fede­ra­tion) has developed to a meeting place of politicians and decision-makers with a real estate business background. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the event at the former airport premises in Berlin Tempelhof. Top class representatives from the Federal government, the states and the municipalities will give talks, such as the federal ministers Schäuble, Ramsauer and Almaier as well as chancellor candidate Steinbrück.

Hotels in Berlin are booming: Not only does the German capital attract tourists from all over the world – it is also a popular with investors who continue to build new hotels. In Europe, the German capital ranks third after London and Paris. At the same time, luxury rooms are available at lowest prices far below the pain barrier. From the perspective of many hoteliers the occupancy rate is perfect but the prices are devastating – with no end of the hotel boom in sight for the moment. According to statistics by DEHOGA (German Hotel and Restaurant Association) there is no other city in Germany growing as much as Berlin does.
